Cookies

This page uses the Meta Pixel to measure the clinic's Facebook and Instagram adverts (see below). The map comes from Google, which may set its own cookies.
What we store in your browser
While you answer the questions, your answers are kept in your browser's session storage, so nothing is lost if the page reloads. They are deleted when you send them or close the tab. This is needed for the questions to work, so we don't ask first. When you send them, your first name stays there until you close the tab, so the thank-you page can greet you.
The advert details from the web address (campaign, advert and click numbers) are also kept there until you close the tab, so the clinic knows which advert brought your enquiry.
To see how well this page works, we count which questions each visit reaches, on what kind of device and from which advert. For that, a random number for the visit is kept with your answers in session storage, and a random number for this browser in local storage, so we can tell how many people visit and whether they come back to finish. Neither is sent with your enquiry, and on our systems they are kept apart from your name and your answers. The browser number is replaced with a new one after 90 days, and you can remove it by clearing your browser's data.
If we show you the questions in a pop-up, or once you have sent your answers, your browser remembers that until you close the tab (in session storage), so you don’t see the pop-up again during that visit.
The reference number of an enquiry you send is kept in session storage until the thank-you page has told Meta about it.
Maps and video
The map (from Google Maps) loads by itself as you scroll down towards “Finding the clinic”. Our videos play from this website and set no cookies. Once loaded, Google may set its own cookies, and Google receives your IP address, as with any website you visit.
Advert measurement (Meta)
The page loads the Meta Pixel from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta that you visited the page and, if you send an enquiry, that you did, with its reference number, so the clinic can see which adverts work. Our server also tells Meta about the enquiry, with your email address and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form, your IP address and browser details, and the _fbp and _fbc identifiers below, so Meta can match it to the advert you saw. Meta never receives your answers.
Meta then sets two cookies on this website: _fbp, which recognises your browser (kept for 90 days), and, if you came from one of the adverts, _fbc, which records that advert click (also 90 days). If your browser allows it, Meta can also read and update its own cookies on facebook.com, as it does on any website that uses its tools. Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy. Meta's own facebook.com cookies can only be cleared in your browser's settings.
Meta's script also keeps a few items in this website's local storage (such as multiFbc and lastExternalReferrer), recording the advert click and that you came from Facebook or Instagram. They stay until you clear your browser's data.
